| After suffering years of vandalism and neglect, 53-4299 was moved in the fall of 1998 from it's home in Salina, KS to the USAF Museum at Dayton, OH. In the below views you can see the great job that was done to restore the aircraft. The second view below was taken just prior to its being installed in the Museum, with the last view showing where it is now located in the cold war section. While in active duty 53-4299 was assigned to the 55th SRW and saw service at many Operational Locations throughout the world. |
